i got one for pulling the gas out of lawn equipment to winterize them,but it says it has leather seals inside...will gasoline destroy this thing????

The MFR states:

It's plastic. The pumping action can generate static and then a spark. Boom.


On second though, go ahead and try it. Roll the video on your phone when you're doing it.

Meant for "holiday" lights. You can tell with the plug have a female back end to plug more in (if it wasn't in the case). In a few locations, I've taped the back of mine to prevent snow from entering & shorting out, otherwise I just knot the ends.

It also says not to use anything flammable so this sounds more like a "lawyer told them to say this" vs gas will destroy it.

My first thought was all my gas cans are plastic, but then thought maybe the pump will create more static electricity?

It is not a bad thing to come into the store if you are in the area of one. We have clearance stuff that is forever changing especially at the change of seasons. A week before Christmas we were already lowering prices. I got a Minion inflatable for 5 bucks. With Craftsman there now we have been marking down other brands. Be aware though it is very hit and miss. Jim
