Yeah. Got a **** ton of Ryobi stuff. Been looking at getting one of the multi chargers, but I’m cheap. I’ll be returning the “free” batteries, and will end up with basically a multi charger on sale, and 2 free small batteries. Big batteries are great, but size and weight reduction with small batteries can be a lifesaver in some cases

I have quite a bit of HD gift cards stocked up, been watching for months for s screaming deal on the Husky HD shelves, cabinets or even NewAge stuff and nothing… starting to gove up, may just get a load of 2x4’s and 3/4” ply and make shelves/benches instead.

Even if I find free / cheap lumber, I'll need screws to assemble.

My first several shelves were made with 2x4's, and I concluded that they were WAY overbuilt. I switched to 2x3's and find they offer more usable space and are still plenty strong for whatever I put on them.

i built mine out of PT discards (which is why the overlapping POS fencing pieces); uses short bolts and fender washers for the pivots. I made it folding so I can lay it up against a wall, under the eaves so it doesn't get rained on. It's over 10 years old now and just beginning to show some age.

I don't know about beelsr, but I've gotten materials from businesses quite a few times over the years. Got more 2x4 pieces than I could fit in the Jeep from a Burger King. As I was going through the drive thru, I noticed huge 2x4 frames out back. Went inside to ask the manager if they could contact me whenever they were done with all of it. He told me I could take it then. Went home and came right back with the circular saw. Have gotten logs from tree guys, old cabinets (large pieces of good 3/4" particle board) from renovators, huge pvc sewer pipe scrap from water department..... You'd be surprised how often they're more than happy to let you take it. You just gotta ask. You gotta figure, even with the current co$t of materials, it's often not worth it to save old/used stuff. By you taking it, they don't have to pay to dispose of it. Win, win.

My rack is somewhere around 15 years old, and lives out in the weather. I used PT on the bottom section (parts touching the ground). The rest is in decent shape (other than "bites" taken out by me with the chainsaw over the years), so I may be able to reuse some of that lumber.

I copied the design from my FIL, but improved upon his by installing plastic push mower wheels on it to make it easier to move around. I'll try to get some pics of it.

I'll take a look at CL for free lumber.

I was thinking the same thing. My normal local supply of pallets has dried up, some major change (expansion) happening at that business, not sure what they're doing with their pallets now. I'll find others.

Here are some pics (taken last spring) of my sawbuck. As mentioned, I copied the basic design, but made the bottom rails longer, and added wheels to one end, so I can move it around (by lifting the opposite end and pushing it like a wheelbarrow).

The ground-contact pieces are PT, but the rest is just normal pine lumber. The screws are pulling out of the bottom (the PT boards got stuck to the ground, and the screws pulled out of the pine).

Got 15 years out of it, and might be able to salvage some or most of it. Still "functions" (which isn't saying much, it just sits there and I do the work, LOL).

Home Depot & Lowe's. Pick out crappy boards from the shelf or walk around the back of the store. Find someone who's been there for a while and haggle to take their garbage. Usually get it for a buck a stick. If I'm feeling lucky, I'll even ask them to cut them down to size for me...
