I'm planning to insulate and drywall my detached garage/workshop. In an effort to futureproof this, I'd like to add some additional 230V circuits.
I have a total of three 230V circuits currently: one for future mini-split, another for the the auto lift, and 3rd one where the autolift was originally planned.
This is a residential garage and I'm likely the only one to be working in there at, so it's unlikely to have more than one 230V circuit on at a time (with the exception of mini-split).
Is it permissible to daisy chain 230V circuit boxes together? It would be arranged so I would have one 30 amp breaker that would feed multiple junction boxes? My thought is I'll run the wire from the breaker box to a new junction box with wire nuts, but no receptacle. Then I'll run more wire to the next junction box 8 feet away. I've heard of something called non-coincidental loads - you wouldn't have your AC running at the same time as your furnace, so this is OK. Since they are not pre-defined loads, is this Ok to do?
