3 pole Single throw switch

Hello all, I'm putting together a rotary phase convertor and need to locate a 3 pole single throw switch.......I've googled it but I seem to be running in circles there.......anyone have a lead on manufacturer/where to buy?? Thanks Jim

how many amps? Look at Leviton MS303 and MS403 for 3 pole motor rated toggle switches (pay attention to HP spec for your operating voltage) or for a larger switch look for a three phase disconnect switch -available fused or unfused.

Do you have a schematic of the converter you are building? I'm trying to understand where you are using a 3p switch. There are many disconnect switches available. Have you searched on the term 'disconnect'? Where are you shopping?

I'm using a Phase A Matic static convertor and turning it into a rotary convertor..........the schematic is on the Phase a Matic website .........the 3 pole single throw switch goes between the convertor and power coming in and the motor I am powering up..............there is a single pole switch to kill the Third power leg going into the Idler motor once it is fired up and idling.......Thus using the idler motor as the third leg of voltage for my bandsasw motor.....the idler motor is a 3ph 3hp motor the bandsaw has a 1hp 3 phase motor that I will be powering up..........I'll try to post a schematic of the setup......Jim

I concur with Stuart. That is a different design I'm not familier with, but I assume that the single pole switch is a pushbutton non locking. Good luck with your task.

It's actually a rotary switch. They are IEC rated which aren't my favorite for durability and longevity (I'd rather use NEMA rated devices), but for home use they're probably perfectly adequate and the price is good.

I think you misread me, I was refering to the single pole start switch that kicks in the start cap. I would not want the OP to leave the start cap in the circuit, so the comment.

What Stuart posted would work great but I would prefer it in a enclosure. I would check a electrical supply house for a 3pole disconnect and get whatever fuses you need. I'm not sure if big box stores carry 3 pole.
