I got these from dollar tree for $1 each, must be purchased by the case

60 watt equivalent, pretty bright. Not carried in all states because of some kind of government subsidy from what I read. I ordered online and shipped to store for free.

the 40 watt ones are pretty dim, our local ace has the 60 watt ones for about the same.
What I like is the price on these are plummeting. Even the 6000K 100 watt daylighters are IIRC 7 bucks at the Home Despot.

I don't know, other than a refrigerator, where I would put a 40w equivalent bulb.

Fairly useless. I use one in my clothes closet. I'll probably be pushing up daisies before it needs replacement.

how well do these hold up? i been wanting to swap everything in my house to LED but after doing some research for a few weeks months back it seems like you get what you pay for when it comes to these LEDs. i dont want to be replacing them every 6 months since about 75% of my lighting (13 can lights) is 15ft+ up and changing them is a pain. even the lower level lighting fixtures still require a small ladder or step stool so i want something that will last and be the most efficient.
edit just read a review that said these are not not dimmable. guess that counts me out lol

Every bulb in my house except one closet and two fluorescent tube fixtures in my garage is LED. Going on 3 years that way. I like the 40w equivalents in ceiling fans with 3 or 4 bulbs. 4 60's are too bright coming from one spot. Most of my lamps are 60w equivalent, all the bulbs in the bathrooms are 100w equivalent.
I have some PAR30 dimmable bulbs in my basement that haven't had any issue with a dimmer that is older than LEDs, so in my case I didn't have to change the dimmer but I have heard stories of people who get dimmable bulbs and then also have to change the dimmer anyway.
We have had only one issue so far, ceiling fans with the wattage regulator in two rooms. One had a remote control module that caused the bulbs to flash. I knew that was an issue with CFL's but wasn't expecting it with the LEDs. New module installed fixed the issue and the old remote works with the new module so now I have two for that room. Second fan was fine until a sudden power outage, that zapped the wattage limiter and caused those to flash. cut it out now good as new.

40 watt equiv would be good in my 2 lamp bedroom fixtures, and my 3 lamp kitchen fixtures. thanks for the post
