Advice on lighting

Hello, need some advice as to what I can do with lighting for this wall. It's located in the kitchen and our plan was to for this area to be a "coffee station" with our machines, cups etc. Because the electrical is not centered what can I do for lighting not to make this area look bad. Please see attache pictures of this area and also what our "coffee station" would look like. Thanks.

If you need both power and lighting on this wall, first decide what would be optimum placement for all of it.

Then mount a J-box where these wires presently come out, or if the romex is fed upward from the bottom, shorten the wire and put it in the same stud space behind the cabinet. Then route wherever else you need power, switches, or lighting. It's easiest if you cut sheetrock and then patch later.

Cover original box with a blank cover; it has to remain accessible. But you can put the coffee cup rack, etc. in front of it.

Actually quite common. Our electrician's refer to this as a "hang wire".

The hang wire is either terminated inside a fixture when the fixture is mounted to the wall, or the electrician installs an old work box so as to precisely center the light on something (sink for example).

OP - keep an open mind to cutting the drywall and having an electrician move the wires to where you want them. You need to cut in for outlets anyway.

It's common here also. They can leave it behind the wall, but you'll have more trouble finding it.
We went to low voltage wiring for cabinet lighting which worked for us.. But in this case, I think you'll end up doing a little drywall patching before all is said and done..

Can you install a vanity bar light or track light there? That would allow you to pick up the wires but also get the light more centered.

Consider the entire plan....

I'd want receptacles behind the coffee makers. Maybe some recessed lights in the ceiling and a wall switch to control them. Maybe even a filtered water line to refill the machines. Small refrigerator under counter. Creamer etc. And then there is Irish coffee to consider. Trash receptacle. On and On.

I'd move the trash bag to make it look better.

As for the electrical, is it possible to run one set of romex in a "wire molding" to where you want an outlet? Excepting that, you will likely have some drywall work to do. Or perhaps put in a box, connect more romex to the current one, run it up inside the wall into your attic and then back down through the wall down to where you want your outlet or switch.
