Air Compressor Hose Question

I need to connect 2 fixed 1/2" NPT female ports with a section of flexible 1/2" hose and obviously need one end to swivel in order to tighten them both up without the hose twisting. I have seen some whip hoses where one end is a swivel and I've seen some people use pipe unions on one end. A lot of people say both methods are prone to leakage. Is there another solution? Would a 1/2" quick connect be preferable? Or maybe just use a fitting with a barb and fasten one end of the hose with a clamp?

This is one of the swivel whip hoses I am considering: eBay Link

Are those going to move around or are they stationary? If stationary you could use a piece of copper pipe with flare fittings...

I'm connecting my compressor tank to a filter/regulator combo unit on the wall, so I want to use something flexible to take up vibration etc. Thanks.

Would the flexible braided water heater hoses from the big box work? Pipe threads at each end.

When I did this I tightened the hose to the compressor manifold, then spun the filter/regulator onto the hose before mounting it on the wall. Worked for me, only downside is I would have to take the regulator off the wall to undo it later if the need arose...
