Hello need some guidance with a Campbell hausfeld 60 gallon air compressor. I got it from a friend that closed shop it looked in descent shape except for the pressure switch was broken. I ordered a new one. At the same time I replaced a worn gauge and relief valve
The unit had about a gallon of water in it I drained it and took the tank check valve to use my borescope and look a the inside of the tank . Just surface rust and a little more rust build up on the bottom got that cleaned with evapo rust. So it has new check valve, new pressure switch, new relief valve, new gauge, new brass fittings, new braided line from pump head to tank check valve and new copper like from pump head to pressure switch. I assembled it and ran it with supply line valve open to make sure electric motor was ok and pump was ok. Everything sounded good. Closed the supply line valve pressure began to build but the electric motor began to bake a screeching noise as pressure built. I shut it down pressure was around 80psi. I got a new electric motor hooked it up and it begins to make a screeching noise and it's slow in turning. Any idea what could be the issue?
