I had a contractor come out and give me a quote on hooking up my shop heater.( im in British Columbia Canada) Its a 75,000 Mr Heater.I already purchased the vent kit and thermostat. So, he said if i dug the ditch myself, and hung the heater, this is what he would do.
Pull a gas permit, Supply 100 ft yellow flexible line( which he said was $300) ( connected directly to gas meter) run it into my shop, Then pipe from yellow line to heater, he would hook up the vent kit and charge me $1200.
Im almost wondering if i should just go propane with a tank out back. What do you think?

I have been to Saskatoon,I know there is no way a reputable licenced contractor in any trade is going to show up at your door for 25 bucks an hour!
