H No, i woulda kicked him off my peice of dirt and got me a new contractor. A company's rolling equipment is a direct reflection of the company itself.

I agree with this 10000000% I own an HVAC company and can assure you my trucks dont leak . I dont want oil puddles in my driveway and by all means dont want them in my customers driveways .

No, you're not being too picky... Last summer my unmarked driveway was two years old. I came home to an oil puddle almost a foot in diameter. I was PO'ed in a major way. I spoke to the retired couple who live across the alley from me. I learned from them that an immigrant landscaper and his wife who were hired to tidy up my next-door neighbors' yard (without driveway) had parked in mine for 3-4 hours. If that wasn't enough, the idiot pushed his lawn mower from my back yard through my front yard which had been reseeded less than a week before leaving deep tracks in the freshly rolled topsoil and grass seed. They did this because my neighbors yard is fenced on three sides and has open access from the front (if you don't know where to get in from the back) I'm tellin' ya, I was so angry I was ready to start punching people. I will say that my nextdoor neighbor heard about it all when he got home, and was appropriately apologetic as he & his wife would have never told the idiot landscaping couple to park on my property or go through my yard. It's not the first time I've had trouble with their hired yard people, and made it clear I didn't want my property involved in their yard's upkeep in the future.
I'd still like five minutes with the landscaper, so I could 'educate' him...
A generous driveway (for my neighborhood) is a blessing and a curse. A few times over the past two years, I've come home or looked out my backwindow to find strangers' cars parked there. I've confronted them when possible only to be told off (w/ profanity) or they wordlessly got in their car and drove off. 6-7 years ago I confronted an electrician who had parked his van in my old driveway. I needed to get my car out of the garage and go somewhere. I spent five minutes tracking him down to a house on the other side of the alley. When I told him to get his $%&#$@ van out of my driveway he told me I didn't have to be so angry. When I told him to get bent he tried picking a fight with me. Since when are people entitled to park whereever they want to?

There is no excuse for that. Maybe once, but that guy cant pull on to your drive the second time with that going on. What an idiot. I hope his lack of concern for your property doesnt carry over to his craftsmanship on your project.
