I usually wait for the Goodyear beam wiper style blades to go on sale at Costco for Buy-One-Get-One Free in the coupon book. I think they are like 8 bucks each normally, so two for less than 10 bucks during that sale.

I have bought 4 sets of those and have not been impressed. The latest set I just returned. They are noisy as hell in heavy rain, on certain cars the streaking was bad. On certain cars they dance around on the highway. I don't know why it took 4 sets for me to stop buying them. Sad since they are cheap and made in the USA.

They're beam blades. I think they're sort of garbage personally. Also made in China. At $10 ea. it might be worth trying to some but I've found the performance to vary widely from vehicle to vehicle. Keep in mind OE blades from the dealer usually only run $10-$15 each and you wont have to guess at how well they'll work. Plus they usually aren't made in China.

Just to clarify the issue with the beam blades is they rely on good downward pressure to flatten the blade evenly against the glass. If you have an older vehicle where the wiper springs might be a little tired they'll streak all along the middle of the blade.

To each their own, but I hate the standard style wiper blades. They all streak eventually (none of my beam-style have ever streaked), they collect all kinds of leaves, pine needles, and anything else that falls from the sky. They fall apart, and they chatter.

I use Bosch Icons and the Rain-X brand with excellent results. I just put a pair of Icons on my Ram after the 3-month old standard style fell apart on me...

Results usually vary with beam blades, that's why I was sold on these with a 4.5/5 rating with 400+ reviews. As mentioned, the Goodyears are USA but aren't very good. I guess America can't build a wiper blade.

I love my Bosch wiper blades. Grabbed 2 pairs at the $20 rate over the past month for the truck (20") and the car (24").

agreed on the Goodyear ones being junk. Tried them and off they came. It's not the beam design, it's the material.

Take a look at Rock Auto as well. I was able to order two sets for $26 shipped. Might be different for other cars, but mine aren't an uncommon size.

Oh, gosh. Mine are $5.03 each on RockAuto. So that would be $10.06 for the pair, compared to the Amazon 20 bucks for the pair.

Thanks for the tip.

Most people spending a premium on wipers, or car parts in general, don't usually bad mouth them regardless of the real world benefit because they need to justify the purchase to themselves. Wipers are right there with "premium" air and oil filters, magical spark plugs etc... OEM was fine, but the marketing dollars and fancy packaging told me theirs were much better so it just has to be true. Just stating a fact. I tried the Bosch Icons, also reviewed well. I found them to be junk on one vehicle (CRV, streaked and skipped out of the box) and on another vehicle (Camry) terrible for snowy conditions and not any better than any off the shelf auto parts store wiper for rain. The only good thing I can say is they're quiet even while skipping/streaking across the windshield so if you hate noisy wipers that's a benefit. At around $30 a pair for said Chinese made Icons I wont be rebuying. Replacement Toyota/Honda wipers from the dealer run $10 less for the pair, perform great, and are made in Japan. If you still have the blades you can even purchase the inserts for just a few dollars.

Just my experience. YMMV.
