I've been reading the posts here with great interest as I try to decide what to do with a new 2000 sq ft shop I have built. While the VCT appears to be the best option I wonder if anyone has heard of Ameron? I found it in the local paint store; this is the stuff used for ships, staduims, and heavy industrial applications of all sorts and I am told it is bullet proof.

The company's floor coating division was recently acquired by PPG, http://ppgamercoatus.ppgpmc.com/NSF/. Seems to me if any epoxy will last this would be it.

Anyone heard of this? Thanks.

I'm not sure what brand it was, but my dad bought some paint at a surplus auction about 35 yars ago. It was what they paint Navy ships with. My dad died in 2000 and the floor paint was still down. very hard stuff. You probably have to wear a special suit and respirator now to put it down, if it even legal; now.
