Another Excel Cantilever Review (black) (fatty pics)

Registered a while ago, figured I so start posting sometime, so heres a mini review with some decent pictures.

So after reading mrholeshots good review (Link) I decided to order one. Total was $36.49, The toolboxesdirect website had a pop-up that said 10% off if I would order that day so I did. This pop up happened after I had the tool box in my "cart" for a day or so. I ordered on sunday night, it shipped from CA monday, got to MD on friday via Fedex.

The box weighs 10-12lbs empty, feels solid. The powder coat is top notch, the hinges all operate smoothly and easily. The one thing I was surprised by was the size of the box. I guess the measurements and photo's I saw didn't really register the size with me when I was thinking about buying it, so I threw in some random tools and a coke can for reference in my photos. The only thing I would improve on it would be coating the steel cantilevers black to match the rest.

Up next to a standard F80 and 24oz 15in ball peen

Swallows a 1/2" dr IR impact no problem.

Shelves have length for 1/2" breaker bar, on the left side is a 22mm combo.

All in all very happy with this thing. I didn't really need this and buddy already offered to buy it off me but I can't sell it.

I also picked up one of these in red. Ordered it Mid monday, and it came tues the next day. Everything is great, just some of the rivets on mine seem to be crooked. It doesnt effect anything though, just asthetics. All in all good quality for the price.

One of my crooked rivets poped, had to replace it with a 8-32 screw and nut. Still works fine though.

No good. I had the exact issue with some rivets on my the slides of my black HF cart. You going to call up their customer service or let it go?

Already put a screw there, so will probably leave it as is. Are any of your rivets crooked.

Mine looks really good, Like you I wish the levers were powder coated. I have A LOT of tools in mine. 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive socket sets in deep and shallow 2 sets each of standard and Metric wrenches to 7/8 and 19mm, Screwdrivers, hammer, and all sorts of other stuff.

What gauge sheet metal are these made of?

I had looked at them, but got a Toptul box instead (thought they were junk/low quality)

I think it weighs about 60-70 pounds. I'll have to check it
