My eyes are not what they used to be, and these posts are moving so fast. 3bay could you take more pictures of the side with faint letters, maybe it can be blown up enough to read more of those letters.

Thanks

Woody, I wish there were some letters but those are just dings.

However, you got me to look again and guess what there is another embossed marking under the head, behind the face. Looks like it could say 1/2 but the 1 is cut off by the handle. Definitely / over a 2 though. That could be a clue.

The logo on top behind the face looks like a diamond with five lines over it, or maybe some type of crown marking???

The hammer face is a bit tapered, and the sides definitely taper in toward the face. Possible remants around the head of a black Japanning coating.

European? Cheap Import? Any thoughts guys?

Found a couple with the same markings on Ebay.
One has a 1 embossed for 1 pound so I guess this one is 1/2. The other is a 2 pound.

The links still don't work for me due to this stupid viglink ****. If you go to Ebay and type in Ball Peen Hammer Diamond there is one listed, and also one that sold if you click sold items.
