Another Old Vise

Greetings.

An uncle of mine has a big stack of unused parts and equipment, very old equipment, and I found a vise that is quite useful. It had this marking on the side, the only thing that's actually visible, the rest is pretty much scratched and rusty. I was wondering if anyone would recognize the brand, to my guess is as old as late 1800's.

Neat vise! I've never seen that logo. IMO, the vise form (rear dynamic jaw, etc.) suggests european origin, perhaps german, mid-20th century.

I also think is quite unique. That's a pretty good inspection right there, hopefully there might be someone who actually knows its origins, I'm quite curious about it to be honest.

Wow, they look almost identical, thanks for letting me know. However, the logo ins't the same. At least I know is from Poland. Hopefully the brand will be known in the near future.

Rick: I was going to say FPU for the logo, but not certain. that would be a Bison made in Poland vice. it also looks like the static or back jaw moves and the front jaw stays in place like my small 3 inch FPU vise does.
