I just can't help myself; when I see an old machine that needs rescuing, I can't turn my back on it. Found this old Kalamazoo 8 X 24 on CL, and 'adopted' it for $200. A good deal; maybe not 'you ****' good, but well worth it. Despite its appearance, it's actually in very good mechanical shape, with little wear anywhere. It also has a coolant tank and pump not shown. Even the hydraulic feed cylinder works! The idiot I bought it from left it outside for the last couple months, so the top of the bed is good and rusty, but it didn't seem to harm anything. No cracks, breaks or welds. After I play with it some, I'll tear it down, clean it up, repaint it, and get it tuned up. These are nice old saws that last forever. I'll sell my POS Harbor Fright saw ASAP.
