Another satisfied Armorpoxy customer

I purchased the master kit in dark gray with no flecks and upgraded military topcoat about a month ago right before they announced the 40% off sale was coming to an end. This week I finally got some time scheduled off from work to get it all installed.

Your floor looks good. I need to gather a couple things before I work on mine. Money and ambition, the money isn't the issue, it the 95 degrees.

I can relate to the heat troubles. The heat index has been over 100 all week here in this part of OK. So I had to work in the mornings before is really started cooking outside.

I have a question... especially related to this floor.

If you're going to go solid gray, why not skip the prep work and use Rust Bullet? I ask because I am facing this very dilemma now. It's less expensive and very durable, right? I'm assuming ArmorPoxy is quite durable as well.

Hi,
Use of a different product than the Armorpoxy 100% solids system would result in a floor that was not nearly as thick and damage resistant than the floor noted above. If you compare thickness vs. cost the Armorpoxy is a better value, and lower cost/ mil.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Been super busy this week. But Armorpoxy hit the nail on the head. This is my first coated floor experience and armorpoxy's product and service were exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Why did you go with no flecks? Other than personal aesthetic preference, do the flecks offer additional resistance to slippery issue (especially when wet)?

Also, I viewed the video from Armorpoxy and I don't recall seeing them state that diamond grind is required. It looks like you performed that step, was that because of some certain issue on your floor or were you just being extra cautious?

I'm just getting up to speed, so please forgive my questions if I am missing something obvious. I like the look of epoxy - I just want to make I get the very best solution possible. I want a floor that will last for years and years. I'm very particular on the look that I want as well.

By the way - it looks great! I love it.

So, it's now been several years since you coated your floor and I have a few questions:

1. How is the floor holding up? Is there any peeling or cracking? Any other defects or issues?

2. If you did it over, what would you change?

In the last four months or so my top coat has started to peel in one small area subject to traffic where I park my car. This floor is now about 3-1/2 years old. If I were to do it over I would definitely add much more non-slip product.
