That's the key question.
ASO might be good enough for light duty use for many people.
I have a well made tiny one on a display shelf next to some of my smaller vises. Paid $1.00 at a garage sale.
ASO's also make swell paperweights

I had one like that once, like 200 pounds. Think I read something about them maybe being from Mexico ?

Because if it is a few dollars it's worth it for lawn art or whatever.

The price was $150 hence why I was asking. because if it was a quality anvil then it would have been a no brainier buying it at that price imo.
