Shake froe.
From the looks of it, home-made from an old leaf spring on a hand forge and an anvil.
I'm guessing that thing cut shingles for a whole bunch of roofs.

hey, why is the plural of "leaf" leaves, but the plural of "roof" is "roofs"?
who makes up these rules?
