Any recommendations for a portable hand held air compressor?

I realize they are not going to be coming with a 2 year warranty but still looking for a half decent or better quality unit.

Neighbor has a Ryobi, my Makita kicked it’s **** inflating her RV duallie tire. Of course it’s probably 3x the price.

I just picked up this dewalt, so far I like it, light weight and very portable.

I use a 15 year old tyre inflator from a Honda Civic Type R, I replaced the 12v cigarette lighter plug with an Andersen plug that couples up to my jump pack,

The thing just won’t die so I can buy an M18 Milwaukee!!!!

I just use it for tyres though.

You can be sure the **** ones use a rubber diaphram instead of a piston ,rings ,cylinder..............the rubber will fail in short time if it gets excessively hot . I have a Makita ..is it better worse ? certainly not cheaper ............why buy Makita.....cause i have Makita batteries.

What do you use it for?

Bought it for some decking work, using a coil nailer with it. Inflated a few remote trailer tires, nice not running a cord. It's still a small compressor but puts out more air than an inflator.

My first thought was to write some smartass comment about how we can't suggest primitive solutions on Garage Journal. This is the place that will tell you to by a small tractor when you ask for pushmower suggestions. I will say, for a while I had a foot pump in the trunk of my car to deal with a slow tire leak. It was arguably faster than a noisy, cheap 12V compressor but even with 14" wheels it took a while to air up the tire and it was tiresome work (no pun intended). But if my choice were that or nothing, well that isn't too bad.

I have a Ryobi. It works fine. I'm sure it's only 30% as good as the DeWalt, but it also probably costs about 30% as much, is 30% the size.... I have a massive 240V compressor, so I only bought it to make topping off tires every few months easier than dragging out 50+ feet of hose, moving vehicles....

The vast majority of my cordless tools are DeWalt 20V, but I bought the Ryobi pump since I already had two Ryobi batteries, limited planned use, size, cost.... So far so good.
