Most seem to be made in Switzerland (in fact, haven't found any from any other country, yet). Not inexpensive at $2000-$3500 per. Some are battery operated and others are pneumatic.
From people I've talked to, they can break if dropped, and stuff in a warheouse/shop does get dropped.
But I'm wondering if anyone uses regularly, what kind of pallet loads are you strapping, what is the spec of your strap material (type, thickness, method of closure) and how much time does it save you?
Some are semi-automatic (you do the tensioning of strap) and others are automatic which does "everything" for you except feed the strap into the gizmo.
