Anyone use Kobalt vise grips?

My sons says I have over 150 pair of Petersen Vise Grips in many styles.

Of which you probably use 10. Meanwhile members on here are searching high and low for a good pair to replace their broken Chinese vise grips, but they can't find any because you already bought them all!

You obviously have some tool vice. My advise is to seek help immediately.

Dude why dont you ship me a good 10" pair, a good 6 or 7 inch pair and a smaller needle nose pair?

You are lucky to live in the USA where the really good deals are,
on tools. Shipping from here to there kills a good deal.
I buy off shore locking pliers to cut up for holding fixtures because I cannot disrespect a real Peterson Vise Grip.

British Columbia is in Western Canada. Canada is north of the 49th parelal border that separates us from the USA. Alaska is on our northern border.

Are the jaws harder or softer than the Milwaukee? I'm not sure if Vise Grip or Milwaukee is harder. Just wondering where the Kobalt come in.

Ok guys i eventually bought a pair of the Irwin vise grips over the Milwaukees. The Irwins have a secret on them that you cant see in the pictures. You see how the Milwakees have the red twisting screw to tighten or loosen the grips? Well Irwin actually has an allen wrench hole on the bottom of their screws so they can be used the same way as the Milwaukees!

In spite of the minor cons on Knipex-branded locking pliers, I'd still go for them and Milwaukee.

What are the cons with the Knipex locking pliers?

I have been fortunate, in that the last few weeks I have found 3 sets of Petersens at local resale stores. They are a little discloured, but work good.

I already have an ample supply of vise grips, but I can't pass up a good deal

My friend has alot of the old Petersons lying around. I about asked him to see if he'd trade for my new Irwins. However i may give the Irwins a chance first to see how well they hold up. The do have the allen hole in the tightening screw so thats a nice bonus as well

No way have green handled USA made Mac "locking pliers" and love them they sure don't make them like they use to. They unlock like grip ons by pulling up on lever wondor who made them look the same as older craftsman made in USA versions just stamped fancier with mac on both sides and USA on sides and bottom of adjusting screw along with like a pin stripe and green plastic textured grips very nice looking.

No, I have never seen any "Kobalt Vise Grips" but I have seen Kobalt locking pliers ............
