New sell for about $10 ea (carbide tipped like yours) If I see them on the used market for $5 - 6 I'll buy them and I often get sets or groups like your middle photo for as low as $2 ea.

The ones without the carbide tips are used about $1 -2

The used ones that are ground down to less than 3/4 length are free when you buy some full length ones.

That's how it is around here anyway. I'm assuming they are 5/16" and 3/8". Larger ones cost more.

Pricing them at $5 will probably result in a sale.

They're really miserable to use compared to modern insert tools.

I agree. Inserts are the way to go. Those older style bits a lot of time require a grinder and the ability of the machinist to grind the bit. Granted I'm not a real machinist but it took me a while to figure out how to grind those bits for a given task. I still wouldn't make it if I had to do it for a living, I'm just getting by with what little I do.

With inserts, you remove one screw, rotate it or replace it and keep on going.
