So with MLK day approaching and it being a cool 75 degrees here in AZ, I decided to pull the trigger and order the Armorpoxy Armorcald kit. I call in on Friday 1/5/17 and place my order. Specially asking for Primary blue aka normal blue flecks instead of the predetermined “powder blue” aka baby blue flecks with the medium gray base.

Waiting 7days.... tracking the package, every move it makes via the fed ex tracker, only to come home, open the box and discover “powder blue” flecks. All my plans for this weekend are out the window, as I have to sit here and decided if I want to go through the hassle of contacting them and try to get the correct flecks combo I originally purchased, and what shows on the invoice PRIMARY BLUE!!!!

Has anyone put down the powder blue flecks? How does it look? Should I just do it? Or should I wait another week for them to fix their mistake?

Yeah you’re right.... after the initial frustration passed I came to my senses and will just be patient.

Yeah that ***** but you should just wait and let them correct it.

Every company I have ever heard about makes mistakes. They are only a group of humans after all

We contacted the customer off hours to advise if a home center had a fleck color they could purchase we reimburse. The project can be partially started with prep if desired since that usually takes longer than coating.

We always advise to leave plenty of time between ordering and project start to allow for time to correct problems or the more common issue of a package getting lost or damaged in transit. This potential problem is compounded that most coatings cannot be overnighted to correct a problem due to hazmat air shipping regulations.

Rarely at times the warehouse can make a pick mistake and we will overnight the correct color on Tuesday after the holiday. Our apologies.

Armorpoxy did reach out and advised me to call in Tuesday after the holiday, I do understand mistakes are made and I appreciate them owning up to it and making things right. Customer service on their part has been very good, and is making all the difference in this scenario.

Once correct flecks are received and garage is coated I will post pictures.

Thank you Armorpoxy for making the process of getting the correct color flecks so easy.

Everyone makes mistakes. To see the true nature of a company (or individual), you need to see how they respond when they make a mistake. Do they own it and try to make it right? Do they deny it/tell you you're wrong? Do they simply ignore you (apathy)?

I'd rather do business with a company that makes 10x as many mistakes but owns them when they happen.

Talking about making mistakes, a few years ago my wife ordered some sweatshirts from some company that does custom writing on them, you choose the size and what you want them to say. She wanted them for Christmas presents, which seemed like a good idea. She did this in early November, just to make sure she got them in time. Somehow the company screwed up and she got a completely wrong order, they shipped her a package with someone else's order and who knows where her order went. She called them and told customer service about it, they told here to keep the stuff and they would make he order over again and send it to her. It turned out OK but it was a good thing she ordered it early enough so she got the presents in time.
