Apparently Vlchek made at least some Bonney wrenches, and these would likely have been after Pendleton bought Vlchek.

I just don't understand it. Bonney was known for wrenches.....maybe they just farmed out the Bon-e-con line????? Now I have to study the sockets.......

Are those Utica era? Wouldn't surprise me to see them contract out parts of the economy line to be more competitive.

Certainly Miller, if not Utica. Miller makes more sense actually.

I know that in the 80's Bonney outsourced their Bon-e-con line to India. The 86 catalog says foreign-made, and I can't remember who told me India.

But that * is unmistakable Vlchek.

Yesterday in a thrift shop I noticed a Barcalo combination wrench (with a scooped box end) had the two asterisks, too. I think they were on either end of the same side, though; the side without the Barcalo name.
