I recently bought the 75K unit at my local Menards yesterday but they were all out of flue vent kits. Is this something I could get at Northern tool? Are the kits they sell a universal kit or Mr Heater brand specific? I am a few weeks from installing the heater, so I got plenty of time if you guys think I should order the kit from Beacon Morris directly.

Are you going to vent it vertically through the roof or horizontally through the wall? If horizontal, most codes require that you use stainless steel pipe. Either way, you can buy all the flue parts you need there at Menards and it probably will cost less than buying a kit. My local Menards sells both stainless and regular flue pipe.

I installed a 45K BTU Beacon-Morris unit from Menards last month and vented it through the roof. You're going to love it!

BigChevy,

Thanks for your reply. I guess that was my next question whether it was just as easy to buy the individual parts, I think thats what I will do. I plan to vent out the roof. Been in this house for 12 years now and finally had enough of the cold here in Mn and decided to finish it off.
