Finding vintage tools is the easy part, working on stories about the tool companies that produced these tools sometimes becomes a challenge.
As one GJ member pointed out to me you can find most of the information on the AA web-site or other web groups; so I have been trying to look for companies that are in the shadows that do not get talked about very much and that is a tall order in and of itself.
This next story fits that bill because the only information I could find was the Trademark for BEDCO. From the Bedford Tool and Forge Company in Bedford, ohio.
It looks like the first use anywhere was on 05/01/1945 and first used in commerce on 07/23/46. The Bedco trademark Filing date was on 08/10/48 and the registration date was 02/21/50.
The only information that I have (see link) is cutting tools/or hand and pneumatic-hammer use.

A few pictures for you and another tool for you in your treasure hunts to look for.
