I just bought a 75,000 Big Maxx to replace the oil furnace in my shop. The oil furnace exhausted into a 6'' insulated stainless chimney;anyone see a problem using this for my new gas job? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Does the big max use a metal flue pipe or a plastic flue pipe that will make a differance in wether or not or how you use the existing chimney/flue.

while we're on the topic, if a guy gets a high efficiency that takes the 2" pvc, is there any way to use the existing 6" through the roof, or is that a no-no?

Nissan you can also use the existing 6" but you will have to go all the way out the 6" with your pipe in other words you will have to remove the cap from the 6" You will then need to get a non vented 6" cap and put a hole in it the 2" pvc will go through and seal it with caulk so you dont have problems when it rains if you want to PM me your phone number and I can probably talk you through what you would have to do to make it wor and be legal .
