I'm in the market for a table saw but don't have the funds for a new one. I've been looking at CL and estates sales but haven't seen much. This Black & Decker 8" table saw is at an estate sale nearby tomorrow. What can you all tell me about it? Is it junk? What's it worth?

I'd keep looking. An 8 inch blade requirement is pretty limiting. Should be plenty of 10 inch blade table saws available used. That looks like an early "job site" saw and I doubt there's anything special about it.

Depends what you are going to be using it for. Fine for rough carpentry. Forget any finish work.

If it does NOT have a carbide tip blade, just walk way. Even with a carbide tip blade it is only worth about $50.

I have a similar Delta without a stand. It was FREE !

That's passable IF it comes with the stand and is <$30. Depends on what you want to use if for. I took a TS with me on jobs that involved small moldings. I could rip them down as needed for window installation. Anything like plywood I cut with a circular saw and a guide. If you try and rip a 2 x 4 with that little saw you will hate it. If not on the first one, after a few if it's not burned up.
