Blast Furnace

I need help creating a blast furnace to heat up steel. I dont know where to start. I understand wood and coals with some positive pressure from a fan motor but I need something somewhat small and able to move around. Any suggestions of what I could make it out of? Would cast items be better then steel? Thanks ahead of time.
