Block off expansion joint

Is there a good way to block off expansion joint to keep bugs out. I am getting lots of black widows trying to make homes.

I want to block them off in a way to allow for brick expansion and moister control as well.

You can see in the picture the little cuts in the brick...

It appears there are little plastic devices that can be slipped into a slot like you have:

There should have been a sort of "woven mesh" placed in each weep hole while doing the brick work. ***** you have to go back and do it yourself.

them look more like weep holes then expansion joints. either way maybe get some green scatchy pads

heavy-duty-green-scouring-pad-10-pk.jpg


and cut them to fit snug

they should let the water out without letting critters in.

That is exactly what the stuff looks like too.
