Boice-Crane bandsaw

Hi, all.

Sometime last year, an elderly gentleman gave me this antique Boice-Crane bandsaw. It obviously needs some rehabilitation, and I'd be curious to hear any thoughts from the brain trust here on the vintage tool discussion page about about this beast and what to do or not do with it.

It looks very nice and while I like old machinery I know very little about them.

But there are a lot of very knowledgeable members here that will help you out.

That’s an awesome looking piece and would certainly be quite impressive refurbished.

But I can’t help tossing this out there if making it a usable bandsaw isn’t practical. That frame would make one very nice planishing or lite duty English wheel unit.
