Well I ended up getting the DeWalt RAS and the Cman block style grinder along with some other goodies today. As it turns out, the auction was at one of my retired co-workers farm. He was one of my favorite Batallion Chiefs from the Fire Dept. Anyway, got this grinder for 30 bucks, the Radial Arm Saw for 25 bucks and this bunch of chisels and punches along with an old ratchet for 3 bucks.

I looked for a date code on the grinder but couldn't find one, any ideas? Bob bought it new when he built his house and shop and that was sometime around the mid 70's.

If it has one, it should be on the metal cover on the bottom of the grinder. Either way you should post it in the "block grinder thread" lots of info there.

Interesting to see both the DeWalt and Black and Decker branding on the same tool. I never realised they went back that far together, thought that was a fairly modern thing.

$25 for a DeWalt RAS? I'll give ya a YOU ****! for that!

Looks to be the same model as my father's that I used to build a bookcase and a few other pieces a few decades ago.

What's the model # and hp rating? Never paid attention to my father's, and now it's 600+ miles away to check.
