Quick question here...I've got a room over my garage that has 8 15 amp outlets and a ceiling light/fan combo and its on a 20 amp breaker. Is this right? I'm thinking I should either change out the outlets to 20 amp or change the breaker to a 15 amp. Any suggestions?

As long as the wiring is #12, you are fine by code. If you only had a single (as in not a duplex) 15 amp outlet on then you'd be in violation.

References: 2008 NEC Table 210.21(b)(3) use of 15 and 20 amp outlets on a 20 amp circuit.
210.21(b)(1) for single receptacle.
