Hello Gents. I’ve been a lurker on this forum for years off n on. Since retiring I’ve found myself more and more interested in old tools. I’m wondering what the opinion is of members here about this Buffalo Forge drill press. Age value etc. thanks in advance.

Looks like it is missing the hand crank and maybe some parts in the feed mechanism. I have found that post drills that were motor driven for many years have more wear than those that were just hand cranked, but that may just due to more use than to the higher speed of a motor driven drill. Is the model number readable?

#815 is what I’m told. The big separate wheel to me indicates motor drive. But there’d need to be a way to depress bit. I asked about the other or extra parts. Have not gotten a response yet.

Plenty of post drills around to pick from. That's a very basic one and incomplete. Can't imagine why that big pulley would even be with it.
