On low voltage cabing, burial rated, what is the water-repellent difference between the 2 types.

The ones with the -goop- inside versus the latter, where it has the goop in -paper film- that I suppose turns to GOOP if the inside of it should take take on moisture

If you are referring to a direct burial cat 5 or 6. Some have a liquid gel in them and some have a paper impregnated with a dry gel. Both kinds do the same job of keeping out moisture. The dry gel is not messy to work with, I would suggest that one.

Only the dry tape get's wet.....which I presume turns to gel, is the longevity or *qty* of the gel encapsulating the cable just the -same- over the long term ?
