iam new to this forum, first post! In my neck of the woods we can only build small 2 car garages because of all the town restrictions! I envy all of those giant 2 story buildings! Iam ready to buy materials for my 22x24 garage, foundation completed. I know what i want but its my first time and iam sure iam missing something. I have an 84 lumber quote which is a decent price, but i always ask myself what am i missing??
22x24, 6/12 truss, 16x7 door, 8ft walls - 2x4 - 2x6 necessary if not required? This puts be at a roof height of 12 feet - midpoint from eave to peak - cant go any higher.
Besides 84 lumber are there any other place i could price out? I live in rockland county NY, just north of NJ. HD? iam not sure about that? I feel more confident with Menards but the closest store to me is in Ohio, so delivery will be a fortune!
