I've been in contemplation about selling off all of my chests and building metal cabs with a long work surface, all in the name of space. I calculate that by using the full drawer space beneath the work surface I can lose the chests on the floor and actually gain storage too.
Anyway in my research I found this company. I could never afford this but some of their layouts and wall cabs are really great looking.

Wow - those are amazing. I would settle for a dust hood that wasn't nearly as elegant for when I'm sanding / working with chemicals, etc.

I found some cabinets cheap like that at a garage sale, I was lucky. When I went to see about finding more, it was difficult, and finally found enough clues to find the type. I found that they are Thermo Scientific Hamilton cabinets. Once I looked more into these cabinets I found one thing: THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE!
Here is a link where you can find more of these: http://nationallaboratorysales.com/search/41/

This place sells units used, that may be within your budget.
