Can anyone tell me what model number and list price for this Snap-On roller cabinet combo is? The roller cabinet is about 51” wide, 23” deep, and 38” tall less the height of the casters and with sixteen drawers. The top cabinet is 36” wide, 22” tall, 22” deep and has eleven drawers.

It should be stamped or have a sticker (depending on the vintage) on the back of the box (I think top left hand corner?) or if you take out some of the drawers... it might be stamped or have a sticker inside it too! The part numbers usually are "KRA" or "KRL" (I think yours in KRL) and it will say something like "Made in the USA by Snapon tools Inc, in Kenosha Wisconsin; Model KRL *** etc. :)

Sticker will look like the pic' attached.

Otherwise, look for numbers stamped in the metal on the backside. Usually can tell the model # and the year (last 2 digits typically) from the stamped numbers. Surprised my sticker doesn't state the model year, but I'd think the Snap-On man could run the serial number to find out.

the bottom is a kr660(place suffix here) and the top is a kr650(place suffix here).

Your correct! The top box is stamped with “KR-650 A” and “88",, that I assume is the year of manufacture. The roller box is marked “KR-660 B” and “89". I cannot find them listed on the snap-On site. Looks as if they were discontinued. Any ideas of their worth?

Depends on the buyer.. they look to be in great shape so probably $1500ish? Thats my thought. One of our "old" techs at work has one that looks at least that nice. He keeps it cleaned up along with all his tools getting wiped down after every use. Everything has a place and everything in its place.

Are you parting with that stuff? Hmmmm hehe...

X2 I vote for "inside pics"! :)

I’m in the process of de-bulking and re-organizing the drawers from the move. And should have it finished tomorrow evening and will post pictures of the drawer’s contents then. I hope everyone is holding out from all the suspense. Should be worth the wait and hopefully not disappointing.

I sold 2 very similar boxes on eBay in the last month (they were 550 combos, not 650). Neither were in such nice condition. One sold for $710, the other 1250. The side box does add perhaps another $200 or so. I agree that $1500 would be a good fair price for all parties if you found the right buyer, but it's hard to find buyers for these older boxes. They are not really worth the money to ship anywhere. You are starting to get into the price range of a used but much more modern roll cab with roller bearing drawers that will hold just as much. If you go the eBay route, consider youself lucky if it breaks $1,000.

So are you planning on selling the boxes? Or just wondering what their value is? :headscrat

Actually 20 of the 27 drawers have roller bearing slides. Only the narrow ones on the top box have the older glide system. It is higher quality tool box than my Waterloo, Craftsman, and Kennedy. And I can see why a professional mechanic would invest the extra money for one.

beautiful boxes! i just bought a kr660 b like that from a guy on craigslist for $350! i almost felt guilty for stealing it but he named his price. its not quite as clean as yours but i plan on restoring it to its origional beauty. i have to change slides on 2 of the drawers and a good cleaning. i want to get the top box eventually.
