I know it's not really a tool, but I'm telling you - this thing will ****** amaze you.. It's just one of those hidden gems where you can't belive what u got for the money.
They make a newer bigger version now that's $130 I think

Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle 3 Next Generation Ultra Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker : Louder Volume 10W+, More Bass, Water Resistant, Perfect Speaker for Golf, Beach, Shower & Home (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010OYASRG/?tag=atomicindus08-20

For anyone that doesnt know - Cambridge Soundworks is an audio company. I've had their CD player alarm clock that's similar to the Bose wave radio for like 15 years now. It still looks like it just came out of the box and the sound is unreal, rated better than the Bose at the time. It wakes me up every day. It's probably one of the most under marketed / highest quality audio companies on planet earth. It's $30 - return it if you hate it, but you won't.. Trust me on this one..

I've had this for a few months, my father forced it on me - buying one and sending it to my house.. I said I didn't want it until I actually listened to it..

Video review - seriously, check this thing out

And just for fun - the Cambridge Soundworks Oontz 3Xl vs Beats / JBL / and more

I finally got a decent cell phone (bought a new white and bamboo Moto x2 and hooked it up with tracfone) and paired it with the speaker I posted. It's unreal. It's seriously too loud to even listen to comfortably nearby, and the quality is just stunning for its size.

Yeah they put out some nice sound equipment for the money. I have one of their 2.1 powered systems in the shop that I connect my smart phone to.

Ever use headphones? Try some Sennheiser HD 202 II's or something similar. They're like $25 or so. You can actually hear the bass player pluck his strings and other stuff you never heard before in your music. It's amazing at what just $30 or so will buy in terms of audio quality. Now everyone just uses those crappy tiny earbuds.

Even Mp3's sound better with proper equipment. Of course, once you get into $200 and up headphones, then you want to go with uncompressed audio.

My father is into headphones - honestly he just needs something to spend money on, so he likes audio stuff. He has most of the Beats headphones, and a lot of the Bose too. For really nice sounding headphones - Check out the Audio Technica Ath-M50.. I waited MONTHS to get the limited edition blue and leather version, but the all black and all white versions are cheaper.. They have great sound.. I like them better than my Bose QuietComforts and all of the Beats my father owns.. I literally hooked up all of them to portable amp with 3 jacks and went back and forth with all different songs playing.

(Limited editions - not cheap)
Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBL Professional Studio Monitor Headphones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HVLUSGM/?tag=atomicindus08-20

(Same headphones - solid colors are cheaper for some reason)
Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HVLUR86/?tag=atomicindus08-20

But EVERYTHING I have owned from Cambridge Soundworks has been amazing.. I bought my clock radio over the Bose since the Cambridge was rated as having better sound.

Edit - was getting the old MP3 players my old computer speakers confused - they were from Creative Labs - another EXCELLENT audio company to check out. They do like no marketing and put out some of the best stuff you can buy -

KC, I also really like the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 series. I wrote about them quite a bit here, along with some other great speaker buys (but a little higher price than the Cambridge ones here). Also for those interested, Andrew Jones the legendary speaker designer with Pioneer several years is now with a German speaker company ELAC, and has several new best buys in the ELAC speaker lineup that are even better than the Pioneers, but at a higher price. Those are the new best buys. - Paul

I have Cambridge Soundworks surround sound in our living room (since 2007) and the speakers and sub ROCK. Great value for the $$ at the time...assume they are still making quality equipment.
