Can anyone help me. I took off the end of my camper cord that supplies the power to the camper and replaced it with a regular cord is this ok

Maybe you cut the end of a 30 amp RV cord off instead of buying an adapter. Depending on your campers needs, you may be overtaxing a 15 map circuit in your garage with a very high draw. It might trip or not. But in any case it would be better to put the correct end on it so when you go camping you can plug in and use the full amperage your camper needs. But without more details this is just a wild *** guess.

Not enough info to answer 100% correctly. But ...
The typical RV 120V plug is a TT30, designed for 30A service. You could replace it with a NEMA 5-15, standard household plug, you just will not be able to find an outlet that will supply 30A so heavy loads, like A/C, will likely pop the breaker.
You should have bought an adapter for temporary use.

Adapters are readily available, and cheap. I would’ve gone that route, but too late now.
