I'm sure many members here got the Tooltopia black friday email. I had forgotten I was wanting a nice underhood light until I was browsing their email.

$110 with free shipping right now is, from what I can see, THE lowest price on the web.
http://www.tooltopia.com/central-tools-central-lighting-13003.aspx

It's $116 at Amazon and $11 shipping for me (not eligible for FSSS). $124 on ebay with free shipping (some of which include free digital calipers which doesn't interest me).

Reviews on Amazon are mostly positive with one woman complaining about hers ordered from Tooltopia (of all places) saying the hooks were not as pictured. I'm still going to chance it and will return it if it's different from the picture.

I balked at the price at first, but then I checked the link and saw it was USA made. I'd love one, but that's a chunk of coin.

I don't know, you can't put a price on good visibility in any work area. Used to work with a machinist who said hell was a poorly lit machine shop. I agree.

I'm tired of dropping my drop light down to the freeze plugs or beyond. I know there will still be shadowed areas in the engine bay but this will help A LOT.

I think the National Electric promo they have going on is a better deal:
http://www.tooltopia.com/national-electric-30025du.aspx

Still made in USA and comes with a rechargable LED worklight too, for about the same kind of money.

Interesting! The hooks look inferior tho?

edit: no reviews on Amazon, same price on Amazon w same free shipping thruTooltopia. I have to wonder if this isn't what the woman ordered who complained about the hooks in her Amazon review of the Central Tools unit.

I finally pulled the plug on one of these along with a few other items and I'm glad I did. Ordered it yesterday and it showed up today. I was surprised to find the price was still the same. Decent quality and better than most I've seen. It can be removed from the "hood holder" and placed anywhere you need it. There is no full length backbone to it. The plastic tube keeps it rigid. It has a hidden switch under one of the soft plastic ends. Not cheap, but it's a keeper.

Mine's been sitting in the box for weeks in the shop. Haven't done any automotive work recently, too busy with other work, but at least it's paying work!

I got the Snap on 93 LED on for 90 bucks from snap on, it was in the flyer this month for industrial customers.
