Hi guys. I've been contemplating about laying ceramic tile in the floor of my garage. It is 20x20 and is used to park my vette and my wife's car. The garage is rarely used for auto repairs, just car storage. Questions are: Which tile is best to use? How does the tile hold up to hot tires, leaking oils, and road dirt? If I had a flat tire and had to bring my floor jack in the garage to change a tire would the tile nold up OK? Any other adivce about ceranic tile would be appreciated. It will be put on top of 5 inches of cement.

I don't think you'll have any problem with it holding up to hot tires. Both the tile and the mortar are quite porous. I would think you would want a good sealer on it at the very least. Of course it doesn't hold up well to something being dropped on it.
