CFL's and RFI

The other thread asking about T8 and RFI feedback got me thinking....

I'm doing all of my general garage lighting with 6" recessed cans and CFL's.....

So...I to my portable boom box...tuned into a common AM channel I listen to and held it up next to the lights....nothing.

Turned off the lights....no change....

Plugged in a single 4' T12 light I have....got the usual low freq (120hz) hum...

CFL's? NOTHING.

some interesting negative feedback latlly on cfl's..........uv radiation and such..............our provincial govs are pushing them and yet england is cautious about them.............
