I just bought these little magnetic pads off Amazon from Railer and they are great. For us that are mobile and not in a dedicated shop space they are awesome to stick screws to.

It will greatly reduce the amount of screws I lose. Today I used it for the first time to hold the screws I pulled out of a 1000 amp outdoor distribution panel. It sure beats searching for lost screws in the grass.

Edit: Just looked and I paid $22 for a three pack. I have magnet bowls and trays in my garage but these are nice to stash in a tool bag.

I used to steal the RE magnets from old computer hard drives and stick one in my shirt pocket for holding screws on the job. Actually worked quite well, if it did tend to wear out pockets.
