Cheapo Cordless Grease Gun

Anyone have or use a cheapo cordless grease gun like the Neiko, UST, Legacy, Calhawk, etc that costs around $75-100? I know Lincoln, Dewalt, etc make the best cordless grease guns, but I'm not looking to pay that much for one. I already have a Lincoln pneumatic and manual grease guns, but would like a battery powered one as well. I've actually only used the Lincoln myself and it works great but it was a little too pricey for me to add to my service trailer right now. I would be interested in what others may say too.

Have you used the gun? Just curious as to how well it works. The Lincoln works very well. It can build a lot of pressure to force grease into areas that may be stubborn to take grease.

I have Dewalt 20v and its about same price as Milwaukee, but I'm not about to spend that much for something I will rarely use.

I have one like that at work. It works pretty good but it has only one speed. The case is junk in my opinion with the **** slide latches. I have the m18 at home and it's a night and day difference.

I bought a cheapo from Walmart(Neiko maybe??) about 6 years ago. Exchanged it twice before I got my money back. Pure junk. I have 2 Milwaukee M12s and love them. Use it for greasing my semi.

If yourr not going to use it much surely it makes more sense to run thhe same battery as all your other gear
So you always know you have a charged battery ready to go
Be pointless having it if its flat every time you want to use it
A really good quality pistol style would be just as good unless your doing 30 to 40 grease points in one go
Or fit a really long hose and a heavy duty magnet to a lever pump

Used a couple on my parents farm when I was helping with harvest. My dad had 2 we tried. sorry, but I don't remember the names. One came from Rural King and was a cheapy. After a couple uses of each we went back to the manual ones. We keep the equipment well services so the fitting take grease easily and it usually doesn't take much. The battery ones worked in terms of extruding grease. They were just too bulky to make it worthwhile to use, especially on the combine. The manual ones, the John Deere ones seemed to work best, were easier and faster than the awkward battery ones for us. We just needed 30-45 minutes a day give or take. I could see if you were doing a lot more greasing, and on more accessible fittings, a battery one would be nice. Go with the same battery ecosystem you have already.

I do landscaping and have 3 mowers, 3 trucks and a tractor. The tractor says to grease every use, the mowers generally get greased once a week and I like to do the mason dump every other week or so depending on how much it gets used. Because of the dirty, dusty environments, I prefer to add a few shots of grease regularly rather than over filling it. All that grease overflowing attracts so much debris I feel it just makes things worse. I work full time so only mow 3-4 hours a day and almost all day Saturday. Each mower gets about 15-20 hours a week between me and my buddy who works with me. Because of my schedule, everything is a rush. I'd like to pick up a cheap battery powered gun to use while filling up at the gas station or something. My guy pumps gas while I grease the machines. I just figured if I can get by with a $70 grease gun over a $150+ gun, I'd go that route.

I have the Milwaukee 12v, I have had no issues with it so far. I got it for about 130$ The barrel/tube could be better made I think, seems kind thin.

From what I've seen, unless its a Lincoln (and not the 12v) or the Milwaukee, they dont last very long. So it is worth the extra if you need the portbility. I do prefer the Lincoln air grease gun I have however.

I to like my Lincoln pneumatic gun, but the way my garage is set up I have to move cars out of the way and all sorts of nonsense to set everything up. I have a small pancake compressor, but it has to be full before the grease gun will work. Maybe someday I'll find a Dewalt grease gun on sale and I'll "pull the trigger."
