It should give you a points total in the upper right of the website once you log on.

Sears and Sears Outlet and Craftsman Club whatever program this and program that....
anyone have a clue - are they separate or function as one program?
some've been replaced by another/otherwise extinct?

By the time I get their respective(?) computer system(s) to figure if they have an item or not,
finally place the order
my everything is exhausted and
I tell myself I'll decipher the programs out next time or whenever I get aroundtuit.

Perhaps there are Cliff notes or 'Sears & Rarebucks for Dummies'?

I got an email yesterday that said I have $7 in points on any tool purchase over $40 bucks and I have to use my existing points.

Oh what to buy?....

they do this periodically, though it doesn't go out to everyone... they probably do some BI analytics and send it out to folks they think are itching to buy something. also, usually the points will get issued to you *before* you get an email about it.. probably to prevent unhappy customers calling in to say "your email said I have X, and I don't!". i mention it because often times when the new points are announced, you'll find yourself just missing a sale. but if you check your SYWR account on Tue/Wed, you might find new points and catch the tail end of a sale before it ends. The points are usually announced on a Friday or late Thurs... probably to prime you for shopping on the weekend... and they usually expire the following Monday.

the craftsman 3pc pry bar set is onsale again right now for $20 if you're looking for something to get.

i got nothing, but i dont know if the club and SYWR points are the same or seperate

separate ... Craftsman club doesn't award points or anything like that... it just gets you access to discounts that are periodically offered to members.

the SYWR gets you points for the dollars you spend. and also gets you access to coupon codes for additional discounts. when you call in for help with SYWR, you also get to talk to a different department of people... they work for Sears, but seems like a subsidiary or something. Anyway, they are actually very professional and courteous and try to be as helpful as possible within their means. It's a huge contrast compared to normal Sears support folks.

There is one set I am really itchy over so that I can use up the 7 dollars to shoot down low $$$

But I got a doubt about this item because they made in USA. What if it breaks, I wont get the replacement with usa stamped on it. Down the road all will be chinese products.

http://www.craftsman.com/shc/s/p_10155_12602_00942122000P

I would be better off with this one:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00935448000P

I see alot of that kind on ebay...

honestly, for ratcheting wrenches, I would just get Gearwrench. Sure, they are not made in USA, but despite that their quality seems to still be good. You can warranty over the phone, at Sears (if they are still around), Advanced Auto, and many other retailers.

I have almost 32,000 so I guess that's $32. Can you use them "same as cash" in-store?

Yeah, but I find it is easier to use them online and just do in store pickup.

Reasons:
Online prices are usually cheaper
Online has coupons available to further reduce price

While you could probably get these prices in store it would take a lot of teeth pulling and you may need to take some Xanax with you.

Is anyone else having issues redeeming the points given through the emails? I go through to the final step and my points never show as coming off. Because of this I missed out on a $10 credit earlier this month as a promotion.

The email states that you receive $7 in rewards points after placing a $40 or more order.c

Here's what the $5 one says. The $10 said the same. My interpretation is it's applied to the current purchase.

I got an email saying I have $5 in points to redeem on my next purchase online. No minimum purchase.

But I can't get them to come up on my account on sears.com. I've never had a problem before with using the free points. I'm logged in and only see .03c from previous point totals.

I just placed an order and I'm sick of Sears website. I tried using the $7 off $40 that I got the email for. It won't apply. I'm not going to chase the $7. The deal was still decent, but I won't talk to the monkeys at Sears again.

Same thing happened to me. I called up the Shop Your Way Rewards number and they credited my account with $7 in rewards points.

For the offers similar to "$7 off $40", remember to click on the "Redeem My Reward Points" button on the payment page. You should see the bonus amount deducted right away. The current round of bonus offers should be expiring Monday night (maybe midnight or a little past that).

Myself, I'm eyeing this 20pc Gearwrench set for $60.
I think I can get it down to $38 after coupon stacking and the $7 bonus points offer.

I redeemed some points as the email says to do, however it still did not deduct the $7.

Yeah, I had that problem last month, and had to have a lot of contact with CS reps (not outsourced, surprisingly) on the matter. Every offer since then has worked for me, but I guess they didn't fix it for everyone.

They must be too busy working on making shopyourway.com more "social", rather than fixing the ordering system.

Yeah, with all the point offers on current purchases I would've bought more tools but have held back due to a lot of them not working. Guess next time this happens I'll have to call and let them know to get credit.
