chips / flakes recomendations

Hi all

First post here for me and what a great find this forum is. We are a garage development company in Canada that covers pretty much everything garage but do more floor coatings then anything else.

I have a question for the other independent entrepreneur company owners here. The Canadian manufacturing company that we use to get our flakes from went under so I am on the search for a new manufacturer. Who are you guys finding has the best product/price/service? I am more then happy to buy from a USA manufacturer.

Hi Daren, I have found that Torginol has a huge selection and is priced well. Shipping is fair as well.

Estes is a manufacturer of chips and crushed quartz. www.estesco.com Flakes are not shown on their website, but I've purchased large quanities direct from them in the past. Chips Unlimited is a good source.

I just received the sample kit from Torginol. Holy chips Batman! It's insane. It was an 18 lb. box that included samples of every color they sell, including glow in the dark, silver, gold, almost every color you could think of, as well as black & white mixes labeled with the different size chips they sell: 1", 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", 1/16" and 1/32". It didn't come with samples of their standard mixes, but when I called, they included the samples in the size I was considering. Now the only problem is making a decision.

Personally I've rather have a solid color floor

Too many choices is one thing I learned NOT to give the customer. Narrow it down to basic colors then 3-4 options. IF they know exactly what they want then just match a sample they give you.
