MANZONE!!

Home to a muscle car and the kart... Its where most automotive repair gets done. A few cool posters and a bunch of "aqquired" (I didnt say stolen) traffic signs and a spare 455 big block engine.

Parking: 2 cars in a 2 car garage.
Detailing: Always, even in the winter!
Restoration Project: None at this time.
Showroom: Not a chance. My garage is used but not abused.
Modification/Maintenance: Whenever I have the money and time.
Fabrication: Beyond my ability and tools on hand.
Bodywork: Way beyond my skills. Best left to the pros!

My wife laid claim to 1/2. Built it a year ago, she is already spoiled, gets really pissy if I have my tools laid out on her side. It's going to break her heart next summer when I start hitting my project car hard, going to take it all.... I just built a lean-to, 3/4 of it is going to be my "man-room".

All the above except showroom. I also store all my contractors tools that I can't keep in my van or box trailer.
I'm also having an increasing problem with a inlaw using a small portion of my shop to work on his junk. I haven't figured out a classification for that yet.

Parking (yes, but it's not like the cars would move if I wanted them to!)
Detailing (if you include colorsanding and buffing clearcoat!)
Restoration Project (Actually, 2 restoration projects!)
Showroom (Depends on what my visitors consider show worthy!)
Modification/Maintenance (yup.)
Fabrication (part of any rodification!)
Bodywork (part of any restoration/rodification!)

As someone else said, it's a SHOP, not a garage! Mine ain't afraid to get it's hands dirty dammit!

40 x 50 used to house RV and two race cars, as well as cleaning RV and working on race cars...but that was last week.
Recently moved from DFW to Central KY, just bought a house with 3 car attached and 24x34 detached...RV will have to sit outside now...bummer...

a MAJOR MESS

Having the roof redone and I did not expect or I did not think. All kinds of garbage came through the slats, its roofed in 1x8's and I can't believe how much just fell into my garage as the roofer removed my old roof. And I left my spider with the top down on the lift, I just hope nothing damaged her aluminium body but I doubt that. So my garage is a MESS !!!

Normally my garage is a work place, 28x24 with racedeck flooring and 2 lifts, lots of welding stuff and engine working tools

I guess you'll have to change your "location" line now. Maybe you're in denial. :bounce:

Sorry...a bit long.

Mine is a get -a-way, a place to tinker with my bikes or like today...a repair shop for my truck which barely fits in the garage do to my stupidity when I had the garage built....but that's another story  So, in my garage I have 4 motorcycles and my car therefore no room for the truck which needs to lay up for about a week. Luckily I had left up my old 1 car garage and managed to fit 3 bikes in there leaving the truck, the car and my biggest bilke. Take a look at the pics and see my dilemma. The moral is that you need to build your garage roughly twice the size you want.

Lots of work. Lots of beer drinking. My favorite hang out. Build lots of toys. Fab, detail, engine building, mostly geared toward streetrodding and any projects that go along with rodding. I seem to have done alot of suspension, IFS, etc over the last few years. I do just love being there and hanging out in the evenings.

storing parts for the race car which is at my buddys bodyshop because mines so full of stuff like 3 engines , 2 rear ends 5 sets of fenders , the tool boxes , my homemade flow bench ( cheaper than buying one . ) 2 sets of tires mounted on rims ( for car and truck )

can ussually nudge the front of the P/u in there for minor work
can weld if I make some room
bodywork goes to the shop
I don't let my vehicle get dirty enough for detailing
and storage of building materials for the house while I remodel .

and the dang thing is only 10 w x24 d x9 t

I can say I cramped for space . :headscrat
I do have a spareroom for my fabrication , and engine rebuilding .

the joys of being no married an engine block in the living room or is it the reason why I'm not married ?
