Cleaning MotoFloor with Floor Scrubber?

I have 900+ sq ft of Costco MotoFloor that's about five years old. I've been using a large one foot wide sponge mop with Simple Green with so so results. It just doesn't do a through cleaning of all the nooks and crannies in the tiles, plus I'm not a spring chicken and mopping all that tile working harder on the dirtier places makes my back ache lol. I'm thinking of renting a floor scrubber with a nylon brush to really scrub the floor using Simple Green to try to get it as clean as possible.

Has anyone tried this method of cleaning on a racedeck type floor? any tips or cost of renting the machine?

The floor looks clean in the photos but up close it needs work.

Check with Racedeck, I believe I saw on another thread about a product they have that makes the tiles look new.

Yeah I saw a thread here about that... I think IIRC it's was called "restore". I'm thinking if I give the tiles a deep cleaning before restore the floor might come out better. Tonight I've been cleaning the diner booths in the corner. I pulled them out and they haven't seen good cleaning in a couple years. The floor was pretty grungy (where I couldn't mop) from spilled beer, soft drinks etc. I'm using by hand a stiff nylon brush with a 50/50 mix of Simple Green. This is getting them as clean as possible but dam 900 sq ft

If the manufacturer says the floor can take the machine, I would use it with a brush. They work well on grouted tile floors, so they get in nooks and crannies. If you can rent a grout cleaning machine, it has cylindrical brushes that spin in opposite directions and they do a good job on floors that don't have a smooth surface.

That has to be better than scrubbing them by hand IMO

I'll take an extra tile to the rental place and see what they have to say also.

Well I finished cleaning the corner where the booths are. Vacuuming cob webs under the booths and giving them a general cleaning and vinyl treatment. I was able to hand scrub around 75 ft of tile then a quick mop. The corner is pretty darn clean and my arms feel like I've been lifting weights lol. Tomorrow I'll scrubb the other corner behind the bar and see how long my arms and back hold up

Would a steamer work on those tiles? Just thinking out loud.

Are you talking about those steamers made for hardwood? Not sure if there up to the task of that much square footage.

Actually they feel pretty good! Better than I thought these old muscles would this morning. I have a different plan for the other corner since I don't have to move much stuff to clean under and around. The plan is to crank up some music, stack a hand full of towels, simple green and brushes on my rolling cart. Sit on the floor with a cold beer. Scrub + Chug + Scrub + Chug + Burp + Chug some more.

I used a floor scrubber on my RaceDeck once and it worked pretty good. It had a beater type brush though similar to a vacuum cleaner. I just went over it quickly with a diluted simple green solution and came quite clean. I'm not sure I would trust and orbital model though.
